to the Restaurant "Es Racó de ses Graneres", and first of all we will explain the meaning of the name. The translation in English is "The Broom Corner".
In olden days the fishermen from the village used to clean their boats with a broom (called a "granera" in Majorcan). When the broom was worn out and no longer of any use they would throw it into the sea and the currents brought all these brooms to the same place, which came to be known as "the Broom Corner" (or the Corner of the Brooms). Our restaurant is situated immediately opposite this spot, and so we have used the traditional name.
